Rosemary or sage?

Often, telling herbs apart can be difficult.  If you're unsure, the best way is to smell them and have a little taste. Here's a basic visual guide for your eyes.







1.      Coriander (Coriander leaf, Chinese parsley, koyendoro, Mexican parsley, pak chee, yuen-sai, green coriander, coriander green, dhania)

2.      Mint

3.      Parsley (Curly parsley, flat-leafed Italian parsley)

4.      Dill (Dill leaf, dillweed, dill weed)

5.      Basil (Sweet (Italian) basil, purple basil)
 
6.      Oregano (Wild marjoram, pot marjoram)

7.      Rosemary

8.      Chives

9.      Sage

10.  Savory (Bean herb, mountain savory)

11.  Thyme

12.  Tarragon (French tarragon, dragon herb)

13.  Marjoram (Sweet marjoram, knotted marjoram)
